Old age and disability centre

In May 2015 we registered and started Luncedo Old Age and Disability Centre. Due to lack of funding back then, the project was laid to rest. As the kindergarten received funding for their working in May 2019 funds came available to really kick off the Old Age And Disability Centre.

We bought pots and pans, a gas stove, cutlery and we opened the doors twice a week in August 2019. Thanks to sponsoring from Amava VZW from Belgium we were also able to extend the kindergarten kitchen and to buy more appropriate tables and chairs, a carpet and paints.

Twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, around 20 elderly come together for breakfast and lunch, to enjoy each other's company and to be entertained. The women mainly focus on beadwork and the men help out in the community garden. Cross fingers they will also get funded by the Department of Social Development .
